Skills Games - Awards for the skills game will be given out after at the Open Ceremony on Friday night.  Awards will be given for each age group. 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U.

Team Booklet - Must contain the following items. Must be handed in on Thursday's team check-in.
     
1) Letter from league president if your team is from a Rec League
     2) Completed and signed roster
     3) Copy of Team Insurance Certificate
     4) Copy (not original) Birth Certificate with a player photo attached

****NOTIFICATION - Team Booklets must be pick-up by the team coach/manager at the exiting of their team from the tournament. Booklets that have not been picked up will be shredded on Monday 7/12/21.

Field 1 

Mother/Daughter Relay - Each team picks two moms and two players. They can be any mom matched with any player. The player starts the race from home plate, runs to 1st base, and passes a softball to the mom on 1st base. The mom on 1st base is able to run as soon as she has been passed the ball. Mom at 1st base runs and passes the ball to the player on 2nd base, the player on 2nd base runs and passes the ball to the mom on 3rd base. Mom on 3rd base runs home.  If you drop the ball, pick it up and continue until you pass the ball. Time stops when mom crosses home plate. If you fall jump up and run. 

Field 2 
Around the Horn - The timer starts when the catcher releases the ball. The timer stops whenever the ball is returned to the catcher from SS. Each team can do two rounds for their best time. Each play must tag their bag before throwing.
Catcher (starts from squatted position) throws to 1B (tags 1B)
1B throws to 2B (tags 2B)
2B throws to 3B (tags 3B)
3B throws to catcher (tags plate)
catcher throws to SS (tags 2B)
SS throws to catcher (time stops)

Field 3
Home Run Derby - Each team can have (3)three players participate. Each player gets (5)pitches. Each team supplies its own balls and its own pitcher.
The longest hit for each player will be recorded.

Concessions will be open from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Thursday.

Friday Agenda - Open Ceremony 6:00-9:00 RichEllenn

The tournament pool games will begin at 9:00 am Friday at RichEllen and St. Bethlehem Civitan Parks. Each team will play one to two pool games on Friday.  All pool games will be completed by 4:00 pm on Friday.

Open Ceremonies 
The Parade of Teams
will begin at 6:30 pm Field 5 Friday night at RichEllen Park. Teams are encouraged to bring signs, banners, and mascots to help represent their team. DJ will announce teams and play the National Anthem, skills games awards will be announced and given to recipients, then proceed to exchange of pins. After the announcements, the ice cream social will be open.

Exchange of Pins - At the completion of the open ceremonies teams can exchange pins on field 5. Just as a suggestion each player wanting to exchange pins should have between 20-30 pins each.

Ice Cream Social - After the completion of the announcement the DJ will continue to play music until all the players have been served. There will be an Italian Ice vendor under the pavilion. Please let the players be served first. Everyone is welcome to have a serving as long as the supply lasts. 

Concessions - will be open until 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Friday.

Saturday and Sunday Agenda 

Pool games will continue Saturday, and bracket games will begin Saturday. Bracket games will be completed on Sunday.

Awards Ceremonies - will be given at Pavilion at RichEllen. Team trophies and rings for each player will be given on Sunday. Some of the recreational divisions will finish on Saturday.

 

 



Tournament Details



Format: Three pool / Double Elimination

Qualifications: All teams must have played in one qualifying tournament.

Recreational teams qualify through their leagues. Rec All-Star teams must be 100% from your recreation league. If you are from a small community and your league enter-leagues with a neighboring city, you may include those players to put together an all-star team. All teams must present a roster one week before the tournament with the league president's signature and a statement from the president on league letterhead that all the players on the roster registered for and participated in the league.

Tournament Fees: 8U - $350, 10U-18U $425

Tournament discounts do not apply to the State or World Series tournaments.

Team Gate Fees: $250 (This fee is a team fee, there will not be money collected at the gate until all Covid-19 restrictions have been completely lifted for the state of TN).

Make sure your players are age-eligible for your age group. The age-eligible date is Dec 31, 2020. The age a player is on this date is the age they will play through Aug 31, 2021.

Rules and Standards



Rules

Batters: each team can bat up to 12 batters for pool and tournament games.

Unique rule to USGF: is the courtesy runner: A courtesy runner can be used at any time once per inning. A courtesy runner does not burn your sub. However, if your courtesy runner is on base and has to come up to bat she must take an out at-bat. So, be aware of where your courtesy runner is in the lineup.

The Official Game Time: begins at the flip and the plate umpire is the keeper of the time.

Pool Play Guidelines on One Day Tournaments: Time limit will be 55minutes, finish the inning. A Pool game can end in a tie. Seeding, in the case of a tie, both teams are awarded one-half (.5) a win and one-half (.5) a loss in the seeding stats.  The home team is considered the official scorebook for each game. Parents/fans are welcome to keep scoreboards.

Tournament Play Guidelines on One Day Tournaments: Time limit will be 70 minutes, finish the inning. No drop dead. International tiebreaker rules apply for all elimination games if necessary. The home team is considered the official scorebook for each game. Parents/fans are welcome to keep scoreboards. 

RULE 15. 6U AND 8U RULES


  1. The game will consist of 5 innings or 55 minutes on the clock, drop dead in pool, or warmup that does not seed into the brackets. Tournament bracket play will consist of 5 innings or 55 minutes finish the inning. Run Rule being declared if a team is ahead by 12 runs after 3 innings two and a half innings if the home team is ahead, or 10 runs after 4 innings three and a half innings if the home team is ahead...

Each position in the batting order will be at bat a maximum of once per inning, the end of an inning will be declared when either 3 outs are made or all batters have batted one time whichever comes first.  (No more than twelve (12) batters per inning with no one batting twice.) It is not an advantage to have more than 10 batters. 


DP/Flex Rule: The DP/Flex rule is available for coaches that want to take advantage of it. The rule can be visited at Sec.4.ART1.  DP/Flex in the online rules. There is no DP/Flex in 6U and 8U divisions.

Metal Cleats: Metal cleats are approved for the use of 14U-18U.

Rain Policy: If no games are played entry fee is returned. If one game is played one-half of the entry fee is returned. If two games are complete there are no refunds issued. No refunds for gate passes.
